How Hypnotherapy Works

Hypnosis is a totally natural state of mind. When under hypnosis you will feel very relaxed and comfortable, time passes very quickly and your subconscious mind becomes very receptive to new suggestions and ideas.

At Transform Hypnotherapy, we use a variety of techniques to induce hypnosis easily and comfortably in order to access the subconscious mind and re-program unwanted patterns of behaviour.

Our subconscious mind is like a large file-storage facility; it stores all our automatic responses such as breathing, blood circulation and tissue repair, as well as our learned responses such as walking, holding a pencil, riding a bike or driving a car.

It follows then that our subconscious mind also stores our less resourceful and sometimes problematic learned responses or behavioral habits, which might include overeating, smoking, fears and phobias, anxiety or sleep disorders. So in order to modify some of these behaviours, we must first access the subconscious mind and then re-program it with more desired patterns of behaviour.
